Stephen Brook: Subdued, appley nose, not very expressive. Fine attack, with spice and verve. The acidity is high but not abrasive, and the fruit shoots from the glass. A vibrant and appetizing style, with any residual sugar fully integrated. There’s also a welcome mineral tang and the swagger of youth. I’m not sure in which sense one would describe this as rich, though it is intense and vibrant, without any hint of overripeness. Good length. 17.5
Alison Buchanan: Pale straw in color, this is rather restrained on the nose with hints of orchard fruit, white flowers, and subdued, delicate spice. The palate is creamy, silky-rich, and expressive, sweetly fruited, and rather pretty, all dolled-up and eager. This has good internal balance, which means that it does not demand food, but it would complement both dairy-rich and Asian dishes. 14.5
Anthony Rose: Pale in color, this is relatively muted on the nose, with slight background hints of Riesling petrol; it’s very dry, almost to the point of being austere, and while there’s some quite attractive lime citrus fruit there, it doesn’t really quite live up to the “richness” billing that this tasting has demanded15
