Michael Schuster: Subtle blackcurrant-ripe Cabernet dominated nose, aromatic and fine; perfectly balanced, harmonious, medium-bodied wine with a lovely concentration, super-fine tannin, a barely detectable acidity, and wonderful overall poise; sweet, pure, subtly juicy, and yet so fresh, succulent, and aromatic, a richness that is not immediately evident, a wine of exceptional finesse and complexity, and great length of flavor and aftertaste. Effortlessly classy, aristocratic, and refined, a quite beautiful and very complete claret. 2028–45+. 95–98

Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Very great classic style, so different to some of the more recent vintages, on noble notes of cedar and spices, with all the body and complexity of a premier cru. Built on 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, which explains its structure, and 23% Merlot. 98
