BUY THE WINE

Andrew Jefford: Full yellow-gold. Enticing honey and linden aromas over soft pineapple fruits. Seductive, subtle, and fine-grained. Lush, mellow, and full on the palate, with lots of tangy caramel richness in the aftertaste: generosity incarnate. It is not in any way tight however, so my guess is that this will be a mid-term rather than a long-term choice. Now to 2023. 89

Stephen Brook: Rich, dense, peachy nose, with a subdued oakiness. Very rich and creamy on the palate, with flavors of peach and tarte tatin. The fruit is balanced by the underlying acidity, but the palate as a whole is reined in. One discerns the wine’s power without experiencing it, but this is youthful and has a long way to go. 92
