Stephen Brook: Very deep red. Light nose, plums. Medium-bodied, supple, easy going, modest concentration, has a little acidity and freshness but the tannins are aggressive. Rather lame overall, as the wine sags on the mid-palate. Fairly short. 13
Michael Schuster: Dark red; light ripe fruit and dry new oak to smell; medium-full wine with a light, delicate fruit pinched by its new wood tannins; thin and parched to taste, short and pinched to finish. Again, a pity, because there is clearly fine, scented fruit behind the excess new oak. 12
