BUY THE WINE

Michael Schuster: Grapefruit Sauvignon to smell, with a hint of Semillon wax; elegant, concentrated, fine, fresh in acidity; dry, long in flavor, with great complexity and tenacity across palate; complex, racy, citrus dominated, sappy and vital, and very prolonged to finish. Grace and completeness. The proportion of Sauvignon to Semillon is the reverse of what is usual, the drought conditions making it difficult to harvest Semillon with sufficient freshness, and hence the rather restrained style. More successful this year, in terms of energy, projection, and scope, than the Haut-Brion Blanc? 2022–32+. 93–95

Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Great aroma of verbena, white fruits, and acacia. Immediate and magnificent definition, stands apart in its appellation and is more in a style for lovers of great white Burgundy. 96–97
