Michael Schuster: Perfumed nose, sweet, fresh, very ripe red fruit, and, as so often recently, a marked mineral character, full of promise; rich, full, very fresh, and very refined in tannin, a lovely, polished balance; pure, effortless, fragrant, long across the palate, caressing tannins, long and particularly perfumed to finish, effortlessly complete. Richness and Margauxesque refinement, power and delicacy at once. Great poise, succulence, and fragrance, a wonderful La Lagune. 2025-35+ (Retasted, the 2015 is richer and fleshier, if less aromatically complex; in bottle there will likely be little to separate them qualitatively). 93–94
