BUY THE WINE

Michael Schuster: A classy, mineral-infused nose; rich, fresh middleweight, firm but very fine in tannin; sweet, easy, juicy, to taste, but elegant, refined, and complex, too; intense without being strong, subtle and graceful across the palate, lovely length in the mouth, and fine, sweet, perfumed, and generous in fruit to finish. Sweetness, freshness, finesse, a fine St-Julien. 2028–45+. 91–93

Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Intense color, powerful, the tannins still a bit harsh; we will probably enjoy it more after its élevage—the shortcoming of early tastings. 95–96
