Michael Schuster: Faintly floral, lightly mineral fragrance; medium-full, fresh and finely tannic, an elegant concentration; blackcurrant-sweet to taste, almost succulent, but classically “gravelly,” too, focused, long, and fine; subtle, perfumed, graceful, and polished wine, with lovely fruit persistence. Classy, but understated. And perhaps easy to underestimate? A most complete Talbot, continuing its marked recent improvement in quality, and this is the best so far. 2026–40+. 91–93
Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Beautiful style, precise fruit and tannin, an authentic expression of the terroir, a future classic of this vintage. 96
