Michael Schuster: Gently plummy, faintly gamey Merlot; rich, fresh, finely but firmly tannic, lovely abundant and gently firm balance; sweet in flavor, slightly tannin-dry texture, long and succulent, powerful without being heavy, refined, mouth-coating, a touch of alcohol warmth, prolonged to finish and very satisfying. A long-term, fairly tannic wine, but all the elegance and transparency of the best Pomerols. 2028–36+. 92–93
