Michael Schuster: Pale gold; lightly waxy, but fairly closed to smell; medium-full, moderately rich, supple to fresh in acidity; a nice, easy, succulent wine, very sweet, juicy in fruit, without much botrytis concentration and complexity, but a nice length of aftertaste. Good, not special for Sigalas. 89–90
Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: All the samples that were tasted confirm that in this vintage, which is particularly successful all around the Sauternais, Sigalas has even more finesse than its peers and is getting close to Yquem in its layered texture and sheer formal perfection. 97–98
