Andrew Jefford: Bottle 1: Corked. Bottle 2: Dark, saturated black-red. Earthy, warm, pencilly scents with black plum and blackcurrant fruit. No exaggerated oak and no green tones, either; a touch of tar. In the mouth, this is edgy, vivid, leafy, and slender, though with fair concentration and fine-grained tannins. The finish is acidic and long. 2018–23. 89

Michael Schuster: Dense, backward, minerally nose; mediumfull, fairly concentrated, brisk in acidity, finely, firmly tannic; briskly blackcurrant ripe and savory to taste, nice length of flavor, close-grained and complex, long across the palate, and long in both fruit and aroma to finish. Fine and complete in its 2013 relative austerity of style. Will need a decade at least. 2027–40+. 92
