Andrew Jefford: Clear black-red. Very sweet, cherry-like fruit; a little grass and cream behind. Attractive if rather simple. A soft and pliant palate, with lots more of that simple cherry fruit. Not a great success at this level, alas. Now to 2019. 84
Michael Schuster: A dense, ripe red-fruit nose; full, concentrated, lively in acidity, firm but fine in tannin; sweet and savory to taste, with an attractive complexity and a long, sweet fruit-cored aftertaste; all of which said, this will probably be best with a decade or more in bottle to really mellow. 2027–35+. 91
