Andrew Jefford: Clear, translucent black-red. Some warmth and sweetness, but some tomato-like acidity, too: lively and high-toned. Vividly fresh, acid palate, with slightly richer tannins than some of its St-Julien peers; a little meaty depth to finish, but not enough to offset the acidity. Serious wine, if the style suits you, for the mid-term. 2018–22. 87
Michael Schuster: Light nose, faintly herbal; light, brisk, quite tannic for the fruit; there is a moderately sweet red-fruit flavor, but little complexity and length for its 4th-growth status, and it will certainly need time to give (modest) pleasure. 2025–33+. 88
