Andrew Jefford: Deep black-red. Attractive, well-hewn, craftsmanlike Margaux with classical profile; there’s a soft and enticing ripeness there, too. Sweet wood, too. Round, fresh, lively, ripe, with some textural wealth. Very “claretty”— harmonious, enticing, sober. An excellent shortto mid-term choice. Now to 2020. 87
Michael Schuster: Lightly oaky nose; light, supple wine with barely any tannin to speak of; light gently sweet, gently fresh flavor, delicate, but fragrant, gently complex, long to taste and long to finish; a fine, complete Margaux, in a very restrained register, but it is all there. Delicate and fine, and complete. You need to look, to listen, so to speak, but it will repay attention! Delicate, but classy, and very Margaux. Lovely for my taste.
