Andrew Jefford: Dark, saturated black-red; dense in color. A colossal scent of mixed ripeness from this wine: sweet fruits and grassy tones combined. Just a little floral grace. On the palate, it is sweet, ample, deep—but also fresh, zesty, grassy, and citrussy. Creditable and will last a little longer than most. Now to 2021. 88

Stephen Brook: Good depth of color. Robust black-cherry nose that seems dense and ripe. Rich and solid with good concentration, firm tannins, and no unripeness. It lacks charm and finesse and the acidity to give agability, but this is a good effort in the vintage, presumably thanks to severe selection. Medium length. 88
