Stephen Brook: Reticent nose, suggesting rather leaden fruit. But the attack is rich and solid without being heavy, as the acidity is quite strident, giving a light but not disagreeable herbaceous tone. The weight of fruit is impressive, but overall it seems one-dimensional and lacking in nuance. It seems to be aiming for a Chablisien style but with Mâconnais heft. I find this more dutiful than seductive, with a bit too much citric acidity on the finish. But it’s more than acceptable. 86
Andrew Jefford: Pale clear gold. Soft pear scents. Fresh, with more soft pear on the palate; yet another wine with salty edges to the flavor. Overall, this is a convincing, food-friendly Chardonnay with plenty of inner depth and sinew, if a slightly undemonstrative style. Umami finish. 89
Peter Liem: The creamy, buttery flavors are slightly cloying, but the lemony acidity keeps everything feeling lively. 79
