Stephen Brook: Straw gold. Bright apricot nose, with some zest and freshness. Soft and rounded, this is juicy and not especially concentrated. There is some underlying acidity, but it creeps up on the palate rather than riding it and carrying the fruit through to the finish. Distinctly sweet and rather cloying, this lacks freshness and verve. Medium length. 85

Andrew Jefford: Full clear gold. This doesn’t have the pristine varietal appeal of our other avowed PM dessert wine; this is more honeycomb and soft wax. Nice, though. On the palate, it is generous, rich, tangy, salty, exuberant, and gratifying, with the PM acting as vehicle rather than star. There is some quiet pineapple fruit behind the tangy honey, but the tangy honey takes the lead. Delicious, all the same. 88

Peter Liem: The thick, papaya-like nose is artificial and unappealing, and the cloying, candied flavors on the palate aren’t much better. I can’t recommend this. 74
