BUY THE WINE

Michael Schuster: Medium depth, brick-edged red; fine, persistent nose of undergrowth, minerals, farmyard—in the nicest sense—and a touch of herbaceousness; elegantly balanced, firmly tannic, still surprisingly austere for the vintage and at over 20 years of age; moderately complex, but perhaps lacking in richness, and finishing a little short for the fine year. Freshly sweet, but you can taste the high yield. I wonder what is going to happen to this? The texture seems just a tad austere for the available fruit. Good, but… Now to 2018. 16.5
