Simon Field: Luminous russet coloring, a herbal nose with elements of leather and peat. Palate rich, generous in its sweetness, but at the same time with significant matière, firm acidity, and classic walnut/Brazil-nut intensity. Very complete and satisfying. 17.5

Richard Mayson: Quite pale with a pinkish tawny hue. Lovely fruitcake nose, rich yet refined. Similarly well balanced on the palate, fine silky fruit, with a seductive silky texture and a surprisingly dry finish. Great poise. Difficult to better. 19

Margaret Rand: Subtle and full flavored, but with delicacy, too. Coffee and walnuts, confident and well balanced. Very elegant, sleek, and poised. 18.5
