Jesús Barquín:Ruby red with brown amber rim. The spicy and restrained aromas announce a rather dryish profile, which is what the palate actually shows. Serious, complex, balanced, long—good! 94
Andrew Jefford:Deeper in hue than its flight peers: full burnished copper-red. Aromatically, this struggles to get beyond the raisin-and-hessian sweetness proper to the class, though it defines these admirably. On the palate, it’s vivid, deep, concentrated, almost juicy; shovelfuls of raisins; plenty of smoky bite. A friendly bear of a 20 Year Old, and nothing could be easier to like and appreciate. Totally satisfying, even down to the chocolate plus in the finish. Grand stuff. 92
Richard Mayson:Good brick-red core and an amber-tawny rim; touch of creamy milk chocolate on the nose, sweet and suave in style, with lovely freshness and piquancy mid-palate and on the finish. Good balance overall. 90
