Simon Field: Amber coloring; purposeful nose, with hints of charcoal and old furniture. Palate fresh with notes of brandy snap and sultana. An honest and approachable wine—well balanced and focused. 16

Richard Mayson: Mid amber-mahogany with an olive-green tinge on the rim. Full, caramelized fruit but slightly dusty. Still very fresh on the palate, combining the richness and concentration of age. Delicate, with a fresh rapier-like finish. 17.5
