Jesús Barquín:Pleasant nose, harmoniously balanced, followed by a well-structured and reasonably complex palate. A wine of many virtues but not at the level of the best in this tasting. 15.5
Richard Mayson:Deep, opaque; tight-knit, sullen, hint of dark chocolate-like concentration on the nose and a touch of hedgerow; fine, firm berry fruit, bittersweet mid-palate, ripe fine-grained tannins rising in the mouth, not particularly big but well balanced and well defined, a fresh streak of acidity running right the way through on to the finish. Complete. Lovely. 17.5
Charles Metcalfe:Dark, quite closed, but some spice showing through. Very harmonious, though firm-tannined. Fruit is black, and there is spice to give complexity. Length is good, and there’s fresh acidity to maintain the liveliness in the mouth. Tannins have an agreeable graphite-like quality. A wine that grows in interest as you taste; it should develop very well. 17.5
