Jesús Barquín:Its aromatic profile suggests a middle ground with some overripeness present—but in a subtle and interesting way. The palate is marked by tannic presence and alcoholic warmth, with barely sufficient acidity to balance the sweetness, but the flavors are harmonious and well integrated. 15.5

Richard Mayson:Very deep, opaque; not giving its all on the nose, but underlying ripeness showing through; quite sweet and fleshy initially, with firm bittersweet tannins rising in the mouth. Not as big or powerful as some, but sweet and spicy on the finish. A well-balanced middle-distance wine. 15.5

Charles Metcalfe:Bright, rich, syrupy fruit, with lovely dark, plummy note. Palate is smooth and bright, with good tannins and lovely acidity. Fruit is dark berry/plum. Length is good rather than great, but still fresh. 15.5
