BUY THE WINE

Jesús Barquín:The nose is closed, which boosts the alcoholic impression in these wines, with a hint of very ripe oranges. The palate displays a similar profile, with some rusticity, although the aftertaste is finer, with a wider range of flavors. 13.5

Richard Mayson:Deep, opaque; tight-knit but green, similarly green on the palate, peppery tannins leading to a rather lean, one-dimensional finish. 10.5

Charles Metcalfe:Dark, treacly, malty. Rich, satisfying, with smooth tannins and plummy fruit. It’s pleasant in a mid-range way, with medium body and medium tannins. Overall impression is of a smooth, easy-drinking wine, with pleasant red-fruit flavors. 14
