Simon Field | A fiery, youthful style, slightly volatile, a little forced on the finish. The weight of expectation overwhelms the ensemble with youthful energy and a distinct lack of experience. Very plush and agreeable, for all that. | 89
Andrew Jefford | Almost black to the rim. Fresh, urgent, and vegetal, with packed black fruits, deep spice, moist earth, and forest freshness. Very impressive. Super-impressive on the palate, too, with a zesty, lively drift of fruit given shape and focus by the forest freshness that was amply apparent in the aromatic profile. This freshness and sap is very exciting, and the tannins are superb. Can the fruit keep up? Time will tell. | 93
Richard Mayson | Deep and dense on the nose, still closed-in with underlying intensity. Showing breadth and richness on the palate initially, with firm but ripe tannins building in the mouth. Dark-chocolate intensity, with good core and focus and a lovely, fresh, vibrant finish. | 95
