Jesús Barquín:Intense ruby red, with a brown-amber rim. Aromas of sugar-coated fruit, quince jelly, cinnamon. Quite sweet, a bit alcoholic, spicy. Complex aftertaste, a tad alcoholic. 90

Andrew Jefford:Deep, clear russet-walnut. Honey-sweet, yet it is tangy forest honey, where the bees have sought out the shy flowers of wild plants. Lovely transmuted plum fruits beneath, and a note of cade or juniper, too. Bravo for the aromatic performance. On the palate, too, this is an admirable wine: silky, deft, and dropping in its textures, but very refined and very concentrated, too, with a real sense of the concentration and tenacity of age to it, redeeming and lending dignity and grandeur to its sweetness. It almost has a little tannic punctuation at the end of the palate, and then all of that sweetness and perfume is back once more. 96

Richard Mayson:Mid-deep core, amber-tawny rim; lovely, creamy milk-chocolate aromas, soft and suave, with good richness and depth mid-palate and that milk-chocolate depth coming back on the finish. Complete. 90
