Andrew Jefford: Refined, layered, raspberry and cherry: a liqueurist’s dream. An impressive drumroll of flavor: pure, linear, long, and rousing. The raspberry fruit has a near-distilled intensity; there is muted, crushed spice at the end. A big step up from the village Morey 16
Michael Schuster: Mid-color; fine mineral and red-fruit scent; elegantly balanced, finely tannic wine with a very sweet Pinot flavor, and clear premier cru class and finesse; long and refined, but with a vivid ’96-like acidity too; crisp, clear, bell-like flavor and persistence, and good, scented length. Fine, sweet, scented, classy—a lovely, and fair-value, premier cru. But firmness suggests fairly long term. 2012–20 16+
