Neil Beckett: Deep ruby. Very concentrated and distinguished on the nose, brooding but perfectly formed and full of promise. Effortless grandeur on the palate, dense but with such harmony, purity, and race that it seems lighter as well as longer than the premier cru. Superb to taste now, but patience will be rewarded. An exceptionally fine Mazis-Chambertin, fully worthy of its grand cru status .
