BUY THE WINE

Michael Edwards: disgorged mid-2008; dosage 10g/l A more developed color than in the straight DP 1996. The nose is closed at first but comes glugging up after five minutes. There’s a very ’96 spine of acidity in a mouthfeel that has length and vigor. The conventional, fullish dosage of this disgorgement really makes the piercing acidity more palatable. But the wine still needs time in the glass and, ideally, another 12 months in the bottle. 17.5
