Richard Mayson: Mid-deep, still youthful in color, with a pinkish rim; opulent, spicy, floral aromas, still quite tight knit; rich but firm, solid and quite weighty, rich dark-chocolate finish—I wrote “70% cocoa solids” for this. Surely one of the best wines from a variable vintage. 18
