Stephen Browett: Medium color. Fragrant, attractive sweet nose. The palate is lovely and creamy. This has lots of ripe cassis fruit and a delightfully silky texture. Could be drunk immediately, the tannins are so soft, and there is lots of glycerine. A real charmer. A lovely Beychevelle. 16

Michael Schuster: Dark, narrow-rimmed red; scented, cedary, claret nose, with a touch of herbaceousness. Nicely balanced, fleshy wine with a gentle tannin; easy, supple, moderately complex, attractive and accessible St-Julien, good, medium length. Very nice, accessible soon. From 2010. 15.5
