Stephen Brook: Very deep red, almost opaque. Murky nose, very subdued, far from fresh and possibly a touch corked. Second bottle fresher. Soft, broad, flabby, but remarkably bitter and dry. Grubby tannins. Short. Second bottle also soft, broad, and flabby, but didn’t have the dirty edge of the first. Firm rather than grubby tannins and some concentration. Modest acidity and fairly short. 10
Michael Schuster: Dark red; nose a bit grubby and slightly reduced; coarsely textured, chewily tannic; an astringency which dominates the fruit, overextracted for the limited fruit, which will always make this hard work! Charmless now, charmless future. 10?
