BUY THE WINE

Stephen Brook: Very deep red. Lean nose, distinctly herbaceous and not sure I like this green streak, which is partly masked by oak. Light, simple, undernourished, and slack in texture, despite some acidity on the aftertaste. Essentially bland and nondescript. Fairly short.12

Stephen Browett: Deep color, firm nose. Dense, chewy, quite chunky. Plenty of plummy fruit here. Quite solid. A decent effort, if a little short on charm. 14

Michael Schuster: Dark red; cedary oak character to the nose, but also a touch herbal; light and fluid, with some unripe fruit to the flavor too; straightforward, very Merlot-like in character, medium length, with the dry tannin dominating the fluid fruit on the medium length finish. Not sure it will ever be harmonious. 13.5
