Michel Bettane: Dark color, precise nose, classic cedary Cabernet character; medium body, nice extracted tannins, well made and classy, but not the intensity of the best. 16.5
Thierry Desseauve: Quite close to Phélan in terms of elegance, svelte body, and fine tannins, but it has intensity. Nervous and aristocratic length. 17.5
Michael Schuster: Closed, but with a marked, subtle minerality to smell. Elegantly balanced, rich middleweight, finely, firmly tannic; a brisk acidity and a brisk red-fruit character to the flavor, but also long and complex within that severity; spicy, mineral, and refined, with excellent aromatic length. A fine St-Estèphe in the stern mold of the year. Leave 10 years. 2020–35. 16.5
