BUY THE WINE

Michel Bettane: Excellent color, very cedary nose, intense, dry texture. For the moment, new oak slightly too much in evidence; very Pauillac but lacking what I will name onction. Hard finish on this day. 16.5

Thierry Desseauve: Superb cedar and cigar-box flavors, tense and refined structure, muscle and pleasure. Great length; vigorous wine, with a lot of class. 18

Michael Schuster: Densely sweet and ripe; slightly mentholly fruit to smell. Rich, generous, powerful, and fleshy wine, with a fine, firm tannin behind abundant fruit; warm, ripe, generous, and impressive; long in the mouth and long to finish; impressive, quietly powerful, and very satisfying. Needs 10 years in bottle. 2020–35. 17
