BUY THE WINE

Michel Bettane: Good color, slight element of rubber on the nose (vine stress?); supple, more Merlot-like, not complex; acceptable tannins. Not a great Potensac but acceptable. 14.5

Thierry Desseauve: Elegant cedar aromas starting to develop in the nose; deep and serious in the mouth, but the tannins are tense and ripe; long and fine body; complex wine. From 3 to 10 years. 15.5

Michael Schuster: Sweet and lightly oaky to smell; firmly tannic, crisp and medium-full to taste, straightforward, lean, linear, and with medium length; still a fairly austere character that will benefit from several years’ more bottle age. 2014–18+. 14.5
