Michel Bettane: Great color, very ripe nose but some unfocused volatile-acidity-like undertones, and bitter-chocolate-like elements of flavor. Perhaps this time picked too late. But the full body will certainly impress more with time. 16
Thierry Desseauve: Dark color, blackberry, full-bodied with good balance, associating serenity, structure, and freshness. The wine has limits, but it fits in perfectly. 17
Michael Schuster: Dense and sweet to smell, with a very ripe cassis bouquet already; beautifully balanced, generous middleweight St-Emilion, fresh and finely tannic; long sweet and even to taste, complex, refined, and minerally under the abundance of ripe fruit, and with excellent length; of the slightly dry-edged, modern, “plenty of new wood” style, which it will need time to absorb. 2016–26+. 17
