Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Typically Pomerol bouquet of violets and plums; linear palate, but no lack of body. A classy, subtle Château Canon, positioned midway in the color spectrum, with ultra-refined tannins. Slow to start, as usual, but the finish makes up for it. 17+
Michael Schuster: Both fresh and sweetly ripe to smell, with a subtle new oak vanilla/cedar, a very promising nose; beautifully balanced, elegant, nicely concentrated medium-weight with a freshly defining acidity and very fine, slightly oak-dry tannin; long, gentle, refined, ripe, limestone, mineral-infused flavor; long and graceful and with fine, fruit-infused, oak-tinged, scented length; a lovely expression of St-Emilion plateau; rich and restrained, yet with no lack of matter or presence; lovely freshness and definition. 2015–25+. 16.5/17
