Michael Schuster: Dark black red; dense, freshly ripe red and blackcurrant fruit, and clear Medoc mineral; fairly concentrated, brisk, firmly chewy wine, with very clear Pauillac tannic sinew enclosing a freshly ripe fruit; firm, brisk, ripely fruited in a fairly extracty, oakily tannic style which will need a long time to come round; sinewy texture dominates for the present; good fruit length; needs 6-8 years to mellow. 2018-30+;
