Michael Schuster: Very youthful, dark red, pale narrow rimmed; already a sweetly ripe cassis fruit emerging backed by a clear gravely character – classic fine Latour; very nicely balanced, rich, medium to full bodied wine with a fresh acidity and firm, but very fine textured tannin; ripe, pebbly cassis Cabernet flavour, elegant and fine rather than particularly dense or muscular; long, even, highly complex and harmonious, a lovely combination of fruit core, terroir aromas and excellent persistence. No excess dryness or austerity here, instead the more polished ‘Engerer’ imprint. A very fine, and very refined Latour. 2018-45+
