John Gilman: Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey has turned out beautifully and is another of the very top wines this vintage. The exceptional nose jumps from the glass in a heavily glazed melange of oranges, pineapple, honey, chalky soil tones, a touch of new leather, orange peel, flowers, and vanillin oak. On the palate, the wine is deep, full-bodied, complex, and beautifully balanced, with a lovely core, excellent focus, and a very long, poised, and refined finish. A superb 2010 Sauternes. 2014–40. 17.5
