Tim Atkin: Mid-ruby purple. Incense on the nose, aromatic, complex, and showing some development. Palate still showing some oak, but big, bold, spicy, and yet underpinned by acidity and freshness. This works for me: savory, spicy, elegant, yet powerful at the same time 17
Nicolas Belfrage: Deep, verging on opaque. Lots of cherry fruit on nose. Acidity a bit aggressive, as are tannins, but there’s plenty of fruit behind, and length is good. A wine to lay down for three to four years, preferably 16
Bruno Besa: Black core to garnet rim. Compact, touch closed nose of dark fruits and dried meat, yet clean and fairly persistent. Balanced palate, with great tannins, clean fruit, and long yet slightly simple finish 15
