Tim Atkin: Mid-ruby/purple. Rich, aromatic, currypowder nose, peppery and intense. Palate a little less appealing: dry and a tad firm, with not enough fruit to sustain the tannins. Drying finish. Better with food? 12
Nicolas Belfrage: Deep, bright. Herbs and woodsmoke on nose, hints of cherry. Plenty of fruit and plenty of structure, the two coming together to make a serious wine of good length and direction. Will combine well with meats and cheeses and will probably age well. Give it five to ten years 17
Bruno Besa: Black core to garnet rim. Open, yet a touch oxidized. Fairly developed, rustic, tannic palate, with a bitter finish 13
