Tim Atkin: Mid-garnet, with some brick-red notes. Spicy fennel and aniseed nose supported by ripe red fruits. The palate had a slightly medicinal/Angostura bitters note to it. Slightly drying, firm palate. Time? 13
Nicolas Belfrage: Nothing special about color, nor about nose, which is a little flat. Wine redeems itself somewhat on palate, with bright acidity carrying goodish but not special fruit. Tannins par for course. At first, nothing special, but this wine could grow on you 14
Bruno Besa: Dark garnet core to ruby/tawny rim. Open and fairly restrained nose of mature black fruits, sandalwood, and some smoke. Medium body, with controlled tannins, clean mature fruit, and long, balanced acidity. A balanced and not overextracted wine, unlike too many in this flight 16
