Tim Atkin: Ruby, with some brick-red hints. Some development on the nose, but the palate is sweet and focused and fine, with wellintegrated tannins, soft plum, coffee, and raspberry fruit, a kiss of oak, and a long refreshing finish. Still young 16.5

Nicolas Belfrage: Intense mid-depth color; attractive. Oak and plum-cherry fruit on the nose; some class. Mature, ripe fruit that opens out in the mouth; copious tannins, but they’re finegrained and ripe. Perfect balance of sweet ripe fruit and refreshing acidity on the finish, which is reasonably long. Needs food, but a fine bottle. Drink for next 5–10 years 17
