Nicolas Belfrage: Non-deep, quite evolved color. Pungent, sweet-violet aroma, subtle and delicate rather than rich and full; it grows as it proceeds through the mouth with a slight dip in middle but a comeback on the finish. Good acid and touchy-feely finish, deceptively long. Not an easy wine to understand, but very Barolo - 16

Stephen Brook: Fairly deep brick red. Rather stewed nose, bacony. Medium-bodied, sleek but slight, with little concentration or grip. Easygoing, and floats on the surface, though there are some sharp tannins beneath the fruit. Lacks depth and vigor and has moderate length. Not for long aging - 13

Jancis Robinson: Lots of rusty red on the rim. Not one of the deepest colored. Seems quite evolved on the nose: tea and treacle. Then lovely lift. Pretty dry finish and very delicate. Tastes as though this is from a particularly high site - 17
