Nicolas Belfrage: Quite deep color. Wood smoke on nose. Repeated on palate. Very good wood handling that threatens to overwhelm the wealth of fruit. Good side-to-side acidity and long finish; well made and very sexy, if not entirely typical- 17.5:

Bruno Besa: Deep garnet to tawny rim. Mature, spicy nose; touch closed with prunes and hints of woodland undergrowth. Medium to full body, with balanced palate; a touch green and simple on the finish- 15.:

Jancis Robinson: Slightly smudgy blackish crimson. Light nose. Hint of leaf mold, but something a bit simple and sweet dominates. A bit astringent and lacking conviction and focus. Drying finish. Drink 2015–22- 14 :
