Andrew Jefford: Dark black-red in color. Vivid, bright, warm, rounded, with classic redcurrant fruits. Few overtones or undertones, but ripe and straightforwardly enticing. Bright, pungent, fresh, exuberant: a cascade of red fruit. Supple, ample tannins provide support, and it stays pungent and peppery right to the end. Simon Larkin: Deep in the glass, crimson to rim, the aromas are sweet, ripe, and perfumed. Freshly crushed berry but in a riper, more generous sense. Softer on the palate, glossy, plush, with some evident oak nuances. A sleek, honed style with a grainy tannic aspect to the finish.
