Tim Atkin: Rich, mid-straw gold, consistent with bottle age. Rich and honeyed, with notes of wild herbs and a savory tang. A wine that is all about texture and complexity, with lovely bottle maturity, stony acidity, and impressive length. You can almost taste the soil here. Still young and developing, despite its seven years in bottle. Long and very complex 18.5

Nicolas Belfrage: 1 = color of water and 9 = deep gold: Col 3–4. Maturity shows in greater depth of color. Alluring, ripe, mature, but not aging nose. Creamy mouthfeel, good acidity, which keeps it lively; broad, as well as long. A wine of real character: seven years old and going strong 17

Alex Hunt: A gorgeous developed nose of patisserie—cream, butter, dried apricots— leads to a soft but still perky palate of impressive neatness and focus. The finish is poised and mineral, and there is no suggestion of looseness or undue oxidation; this is à point 17
