Tim Atkin: Very pale lemon. Aromatic, green bean/ dill nose. At the greener end of the Sauvignon spectrum. Stones, thiols, and some reduction, with a touch of sweetness in the mid-palate, possibly from oak. The reduction is a little too intrusive here, but this is a complex wine with good length and varietal character 16.5

Nicolas Belfrage: 1 = color of water and 9 = deep gold: Col 2. Standout Sauvignon nose, lipsmacking fruit on palate, with very good acidity and loads of flavor. Dry but fullflavored 17

Alex Hunt: Uncompromising, pungent, grapefruitskin- scented Sauvignon. Very Friuli. Lots of vibrant varietal character in the mouth but, if anything, a little restrained compared with the promise of the nose. It’s a little bit fat and honeyed on the palate, when I’m expecting it to be hard core! 15.5
